Mount Davis, Western Australia

The Mt Davis Project is located ~180km NNE of Wiluna, Western Australia, along the northern margin of the Earaheedy Basin. It consists of one Exploration Licence and covers an area of ~380km². The project was acquired following the discovery of extensive zinc and copper mineralisation by Rumble Resources at its Chinook Prospect, located on the southern side of the Basin.

Mineralisation at Chinook is stratigraphically controlled and located below the Frere Iron Formation. The Mt Davis tenement contains similar stratigraphy and occurs in an area of greater structural complexity which has been reported as an important ingredient in the localisation of higher grades at Chinook.

Shallow northerly dipping and gently folded Frere Iron Formation is interpreted throughout the project area, with large scale NE and NW trending faults disrupting the stratigraphy over a strike length of ~40km. These structures are considered potential feeder faults for base metals (Pb-Zn, Cu) similar to those being defined on the southern side of the Earaheedy Basin. A helicopter EM survey is planned during 2024 to test the area for high grade base metal mineralisation.
