Mount Davis, Western Australia
The Mt Davis Project is located ~180km NNE of Wiluna, Western Australia, on the northern margin of the Earaheedy Basin. It consists of two granted Exploration Licences and one application and covers an area of ~970km². The project was acquired following the discovery of extensive zinc and lead mineralisation by Rumble Resources at its Chinook Prospect, located on the southern side of the Basin.
Mineralisation at Chinook is stratigraphically controlled and located below the Frere Iron Formation. The Mt Davis tenement contains similar stratigraphy and occurs in an area of greater structural complexity. Shallow northerly dipping and gently folded Frere Iron Formation is interpreted throughout the project area, with large scale NE and NW trending faults disrupting the stratigraphy over a strike length of ~40km.
Helicopter EM (VTEM) and soil / rock sampling over EM targets identified potential for stratigraphic base metal mineralisation in structurally controlled sub-basins within the northern part pf the Earaheedy Basin, similar to deposits found within the McArthur Basin in the Northern Territory.
Target drilling in 2025 returned encouraging base metal values within the weathered portion of the section, including: 18m @ 2,010ppm Pb and 583ppm Cu (MDRC02), 24m @ 3,586ppm Pb and 0.47g/t Ag (MDRC04) and 8m @ 9,485ppm Pb and 0.44g/t Ag (MDRC03), with a maximum lead value of 2.8% Pb from 80m depth in MDRC03, highlighting the possibility of sediment hosted base metals in the region.
Geophysical surveys to identify targets and further drilling are being planned for 2026.
