Moora, Western Australia

The Moora Project is located ~150km north of Perth Western Australia within the Jimperding Metamorphic Belt which forms the south-western margin to the Yilgarn Craton. It consists of two Exploration Licences and covers an area of ~370km².

The project lies within a similar geological setting to the Julimar nickel-copper-PGE discovery by Chalice Mining which highlighted the untested nickel-copper-PGE potential of the western margin of the Yilgarn Craton. Strong magnetic responses similar to those associated with the Julimar discovery are being targeted.

Gravity surveying upgraded targets at the Latham and Wubin prospects highlighting potential for mafic/ultramafic intrusions similar to the Gonneville intrusion which hosts the Ni-Cu-PGE mineralisation at Julimar.

Reconnaissance RC drilling at Latham during 2023 intersected a fractionated mafic intrusive with evidence of ultramafic lithologies below the upper ferro-gabbro unit.  Modelling of magnetic and gravity data confirmed strongly magnetic and dense rocks (ultramafics?) should occur below the gabbro in order to explain the observed anomalies. An RC drilling program has been designed to further test for fertile Ni-Cu-PGE host rocks within the Latham Intrusion.

This project is subject to the SAA with a subsidiary of South32 Limited.
