Western Yilgarn Ni Cu, Western Australia.
Morrisey, Western Australia.
The Morrisey Project is located ~500km north of Perth WA within the Narryer Terrane, which recently became the focus of industry attention following the discovery of the Julimar nickel-copper-PGE deposit north of Perth (by Chalice Mining) which highlighted the untested nickel-copper-PGE potential of the western margin of the Yilgarn Craton. It consists of two granted Exploration Licences (ELs) and three EL applications covering an area of ~1,200km².
Recent helicopter-borne electromagnetic (HEM) surveys highlighted priority targets for follow-up that were closely associated with magnetic source rocks (potential ultramafics) and anomalous soil geochemistry (Ni, Cu).
Subsequent mapping, rock and soil sampling were completed over each target with mapping confirming the occurrence of mafic/ultramafic rocks (pyroxenites, gabbros and peridotites) closely associated with the HEM anomalies, upgrading them as potential Ni-Cu-PGE targets. Assay results from the soil and rock sampling programs are pending.
This project is subject to the SAA with a subsidiary of South32.
Moora, Western Australia.
The Moora Project is located ~150km north of Perth Western Australia within the Jimperding Metamorphic Belt which forms the south-western margin to the Yilgarn Craton. It consists of five Exploration Licences (four granted and one application) and covers an area of ~570km².
This project lies within a similar geological setting to the Julimar nickel-copper-PGE discovery by Chalice Mining which highlighted the untested nickel-copper-PGE potential of this margin of the Yilgarn Craton. Strong magnetic responses similar to those associated with the Julimar discovery are being targeted.
HEM surveys over selected targets are expected to be completed during Q4 2021 to allow follow-up work to commence early in 2022, ahead of cropping activities in the area.
Discussions continued with landowners to gain access to selected properties once the HEM surveys have been completed.
The company is currently exploring within Australia & Peru and holds in excess of 5,000 km² of exploration title (granted tenements and tenement applications).
