NICKEL – COPPER
(100% AQD – Subject to S32 Strategic Alliance)
Jimberlana ,Western Australia.
The Jimberlana Project is subject to the Strategic Alliance with South32.
The Jimberlana Project is located ~120km west of Norseman between the Lake Johnston and Forrestania Greenstone Belts and consists of one Exploration Licence (~130km²) that covers the western limit (~20km strike) of the Jimberlana Dyke.
Recent research has recognised a strong association between intrusive related nickel sulphide deposits and horizontal magma flow within dykes that can create effective trap-sites for the accumulation of massive nickel sulphides at or near the base of these tube-like (chonolithic?) structures.
Within Australia, the Jimberlana Dyke is considered to be a prime target for this style of deposit. Jimberlana is a very large, fertile, fractionated intrusion known to contain nickel sulphides in a number of locations along its strike length, but has never been tested for massive nickel sulphides near its basal section.
Gravity surveys over the western end of the dyke indicated that the base of the intrusion was relatively shallow varying from ~200m at its western limit to ~750m at the eastern limit of the title, well within the exploration depth range of current-day EM systems.
Reconnaissance electromagnetic surveys (EM) over the western 12 km of strike identified a high conductivity source at depths of ~250m associated with structures within the dyke intrusion highlighting a potential drill target. Further EM surveys to complete coverage of the full strike length of the dyke have been agreed under the alliance prior to planning target drilling.
The company is currently exploring within Australia & Peru and holds in excess of 2,800 km² of exploration title (granted tenements and tenement applications).
