NICKEL – COPPER
(100% AQD – Subject to Strategic Alliance Agreement with South32)
Balladonia ,Western Australia.
The Balladonia Project is located ~60km south of the Nova–Bollinger nickel-copper deposit and consists of four Exploration Licences covering an area of ~1,000 km².
The project occurs within a structurally complex region of the Fraser Range Terrain and is centred above a deep regional gravity anomaly (~30 milligals) thought to reflect buried mafic-ultramafic rocks similar to those that host the Nova-Bollinger deposit. Most of the tenements are located within the Dundas Nature Reserve.
Initial drill testing (both diamond and aircore) of six EM targets associated with low magnetic anomalies thought to reflect mafic intrusions has been completed to test for nickel and copper mineralisation.
Diamond drilling of three targets intersected predominantly granitic and felsic rocks with visible iron alteration throughout large portions of the core. Zones of low magnetic susceptibility were found to coincide with highly altered/oxidised felsic rocks reminiscent of IOCG style alteration but no nickel sulphides were intersected.
Wide spaced air-core drilling over three targets reported highly anomalous base metal values over a 28m interval within weathered felsic host rocks, inferring potential for a new base metal target.
The anomalous base metals within drill-hole BAC011 included copper (300 to 5500ppm Cu), silver (1 to 15gptAg), lead (100 to 1800ppmPb), and zinc (300 to 2900ppmZn), plus elevated As, Bi, Cd, Co, Cr and Mo from 32 metres depth to the end of hole at 60 metres. Further drilling of this target has been planned for 2019 which will be funded under the SAA with South32.
The company is currently exploring within Australia & Peru and holds in excess of 4,600 km² of exploration title (granted tenements and tenement applications).
